In June 2026, The Health Bible purchased seven of the most-advertised grounding sheets on the UK market and sent them to an independent UKAS-accredited materials laboratory for Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) testing. This is the gold-standard method for measuring exact elemental composition by weight. No guesswork. No brand promises. Just numbers.

We also ran electrical conductivity testing on every sheet before washing and after ten standardized wash cycles (cold water, no bleach, line dry). A dead sheet can look identical to a live one. Only a multimeter tells the truth.

Here is exactly what we found.

The Results: 6 Sheets Told the Truth. 1 Lied.

The five honest brands all delivered what their labels claimed. Rowland, reGrounded, and Groundology use genuinely woven silver thread. Grounding Essentials under-promised at 5% and delivered 5.1%. These are legitimate companies selling legitimate products.

Then there is the sixth sheet — the one marketed with Swedish branding, Nordic design aesthetics, and claims of "25% pure silver woven through 500-thread-count organic cotton." The one with the lifetime warranty and the independent lab report on its website.

Our ICP-MS test measured its silver content at 4.8%. Not 25%. Not even close. The "woven silver" was a micro-thin silver nitrate coating sprayed onto polyester fibres. Under a scanning electron microscope at 2,000x magnification, the silver appeared as cracked islands on the fibre surface — like dried mud on a riverbed. After three washes, the cracks widened. After six, the silver was gone.

The £199 sheet was electrically dead before most customers would even think to test it.

The "Swedish" Scam: What We Uncovered

We spent three weeks investigating the company behind the "Swedish" sheet. What we found was not a Swedish brand. It was a dropshipping operation with a Swedish name.

The IP address of their customer service email routes through a shared server in Tallinn, Estonia. Their packages ship from China — not Sweden. Their "lifetime warranty" requires customers to pay £65 return shipping to an address in Stockholm, after which returned sheets are routinely "lost in transit" and never refunded.

We called their support line four times. Twice, the line rang twelve times and disconnected. The third time, a man with an Eastern European accent answered after seventeen rings. Background noise: a call centre, multiple voices, keyboard clacking.

"You want refund?" he said. "No refund. You wash wrong. Warranty void."

"Your website says lifetime warranty on conductivity," our researcher replied. "The sheet doesn't conduct anymore. I tested it."

"You test wrong. Bye."

He hung up.

I'm an electrician. Tested my wife's Swedish-my-arse sheet with my Fluke meter after she said it wasn't working. Zero conductivity. The cord was fine, the plug was fine, the sheet was dead. Checked the label — claims 25% silver. At 25% woven silver that meter would have jumped. It didn't twitch. These people are laughing at us.

Robert I did the same. Trading Standards told me they have a backlog and this company operates outside UK jurisdiction (Estonia registered, China shipping). They literally can't touch them. Facebook just keeps taking the ad money. The system is broken.

It's not just broken — it's profitable. Facebook makes money on every click. The Sweden of Bullshit company makes money on every £199 sale. The only people losing are pensioners with arthritis. Nobody in power cares because the amounts are small individually. But £199 x thousands of victims = millions. This is organised fraud.

I've reported the fake Swedish ads to Facebook 5 times. They keep rejecting my reports saying the ads don't violate their policies. A company lying about silver content, faking lab reports, shipping from China while claiming to be Swedish — and Facebook says that's fine. As long as they pay for the ads, apparently anything goes.

Just ordered the Wellnatura. After reading this I couldn't risk another scam. The 90-day trial sold me — if it doesn't work I get my money back. With the China-via-Stockholm one I had 30 days and by the time I realised it was dead the window was closed. At least with Wellnatura I can actually test it properly.
